The District of Northern Bretland is a district of Hurmu located in the northern parts of the Madison Isles (aka Bretland, Brettish Isles, Britannic Isles, etc.). It consists of the northern part of mainland Bretland, constituting the former shire of Norfolk, as well as the island of Sussax.
The district became an official district within 1699 AN after the Hurmu Peace Corps had occupied the former Nova English territories of the Brettish Isles in 1698. A year later, the territories were annexed to Hurmu.
The District of Northern Bretland houses two municipalities, each hosting a base of the Hurmu Peace Corps:
- Sussax, including the base King Jeremy Point, with a population of 40 persons.
- Norfolk, including the base of Saint Churchill, with a population of 3740 persons.
