Yaqin Demhivo is a Craitish former-footballer who last played for May Wanderers in Mercury, on loan from Biulya äqi Jedu FC, with whom he spent the vast majority of his career.

Career

Demhivo joined his hometown team Biulya äqi Jedu FC as a 24 year-old ahead of the inaugural League 1 season and was given the number 8 jersey, which he wore for the entirety of his time with BäJ. Demhivo was a regular starter in central midfield for the club between 2003 and 2010 as they generally struggled competitively and failed to break into the top half until back-to-back third places in 2009 and 2010. Demhivo won his only trophy on Craitish soil in 2009 too, as he helped the side win the King's Cup in a surprise final victory over Cherry Trees FC. With the record signing of Novatainian Chris Alberto ahead of the 2011 season, Demhivo's opportunities were subsequently limited and he played notably fewer matches that year and the next.

In the summer of 2012, at the age of 34, Demhivo accepted the chance to play abroad for the first time as he was loaned to Mercurian side May Wanderers for a year in an exchange deal for Stephen Rydberg. Moving to a young, developing league, Demhivo had a new lease of life and played an important role for the club. After scoring in the unsuccessful 2012 cup final, soon after signing, he hit the deciding penalty in the shootout of the 2012 Four Nations final; sealing the club's first silverware. His goals were an important factor in the Wanderers winning their first league title in the subsequent season and helped the side reach a second successive FA Cup final, where he again scored as the team lost 2–1 to Cook Island FC. Demhivo returned to Craitland at the close of the season and announced his retirement at 35 soon afterwards, saying that his time in Mercury was an unparalleled career high.
