West Elwynn Dam
The West Elwynn Dam is the largest dam on the Blue Elwynn (and, in the entire Elwynn river system). Located around Ardashirshahr, the dam was commissioned and built by the city's namesake Baron Ardashir Khan in 1491 in order to (1) provide for the electrical output of the rapidly industrializing Elwynn following decades of low-energy use under the Elfinshi elite, (2) protect southern Alalehzamin from the seasonal flooding in the summer time, oftentime destroying the crops (causing southern Alalehzamin to emerge from being a swampy wasteland to the breadbasket of Elwynn), and (3) protect the Elwynnese and Babkhi people in Elwynn from Shirerithian masinterference under the principle of threatening to flood the River Elwynn from Ardashirshahr down to Shirekeep, which would effectively destroy the Shirerithian capital and empire.
The building of the Dam caused a lake to be formed around Ardashirshahr, named Lake Zjandariyah.
