Formation

The Supreme Court of Mercury is the highest-level court in the judicial system of Mercury. It was established by the Constitution of Mercury upon its ratification in 2010. The court has original jurisdiction over the highest-level cases, including those involving ambassadors and diplomats, crimes against the state, and cases relating to the interpretation of the Constitution, however it also hears appeals of rulings from the Federal Courts of Mercury. The court is comprised of three justices, a Chief Justice and two Associate Justices.
