The Progressive Alliance is a political alliance in Nouvelle Alexandrie, composed of the Federal Consensus Party of Nouvelle Alexandrie, the Democratic Socialist Party of Nouvelle Alexandrie, and the United for Alvelo. Formed during the 7th Cortes Federales (1723 AN-1729 AN), the Alliance's purpose was to challenge the minority government led by the Federal Humanist Party (FHP), which enjoyed the support of the Wakara People's Party and eight independent Deputies after the 1723 elections. The alliance, conceptualized by Gabrielle Fitzgerald[1], leader of the Democratic Socialist Party (DSP), sought to consolidate the opposition in response to the hung Cortes Federales resulting from the 1723 general election.

With the DSP spearheading the movement, the Federal Consensus Party (FCP), United for Alvelo (UfA), and four independent Deputies joined forces to form the Progressive Alliance. Despite the departure of UfA from the alliance in 1726 AN[2], a functional partnership persisted, underscoring a shared commitment to legislative cooperation.

The Progressive Alliance marked its tenure with notable legislative successes, most significantly the defeat of the National Service Act, 1726 in 1729 AN, an achievement made possible through collaboration with the Wakara People's Party and the same eight independents previously aligned with the FHP. This act underscored the alliance's capacity to sway legislative outcomes and forge broad-based coalitions.

In 1729 AN, the political landscape of Nouvelle Alexandrie transformed dramatically with the election of Marissa Santini from the Federal Consensus Party as the President of the Government, signaling the ascent of the Progressive Alliance to power. This shift represented a culmination of efforts to present a unified front against the policies of the FHP and indicated a new era of governance under the Progressive Alliance's leadership.
