Pozdam, founded as Brandenburg, is a city and bailiwick of Elluenuueq and capital of the Governorate of Absentien. From 1671 to 1685, it was the capital of West Amokolia and Frankish Empire and a province of that country as a city region. The city was located exactly on the three-state points of the provinces Agningas, Oleslääd and Tsofnland. The river Elce flows through the city. In 1685, following the Amokolian Revolution, the city was restored to Elwynnese sovereignty, and renamed Pozdam in honour of the village which originally lay where the city was founded. Brandenburg derived its name from the Manor close to the village.

Amokolians were expelled from the city after the Second Elwynnese Civil War, and Pozdam became the seat of the campaign to eradicate the last vestiges of the Amokolian language as the deadline of 1715 AN, set by the High Presidium of the Benacian Union, drew close.

Geography

The city lies in the valley of the river Elce, between the Gänslein Kamm (Gosling ridge) and the Amokolian plateau. The river Elce winds its way from southwest to northeast through the city.

With an area of 7,128 km² (2,752 mi2), Pozdam was planned to be one of the most extensive cities in Amokolia. However, around 30% of the city consisted of nature and parks, making the city one of the more dispersed of Benacia.
