Phallic Cult

The Phallic Cult, also known as the Cult of the Phallus, is a mystery religion within Bovinism established in 1573 AN by Pentheros Nathan Waffel-Paine (then known as Theodores Athanatos). The Cult's public existence is limited to references to a Phallic pantheon comprising Bruno, Priapus, Saint Elijah, and the Winged Phallus, worshiped on a tier below the Buttery Quadrate similarly to saints and venerated historical figures. The only Tetrabiblical reference to the pantheon is a Revelation on the Apotheosis of Elijah, describing Nathan's deification of his martyred husband. Many of Natopia's rulers and elite have historically held membership in the Cult, which functions as much as a social network among the powerful as a religious organization. The degree to which Phallic cultists and the Dozan Bovic Church actually believe in the true divinity of the Phallic pantheon is generally considered low, with the Cult's emphasis on masculine virtues, assertive action, and sacred aspects of virility carrying more practical significance than its formal theology.
