Matthieu Jean-Paul Blanchard, 2nd Baron of Montferrière (born 12.IV.1698 AN) is a New Alexandrian diplomat and nobleman who served as the Ambassador of Nouvelle Alexandrie to Vegno from 1736 AN to 1760 AN. Born into the minor noble House of Blanchard in South Lyrica, he inherited the title of Baron of Montferrière upon his father's death in 1725 AN. A career diplomat educated at the University of Lausanne and the Diplomatic Academy of Nouvelle Alexandrie, Blanchard has earned recognition for modernizing diplomatic training protocols and playing a central role in strengthening economic ties between Nouvelle Alexandrie and its Raspur Pact allies. Appointed as Ambassador to Vegno in 1736 AN by President Marissa Santini, he was instrumental in deepening bilateral relations between the two nations, particularly in areas of cultural exchange and technological cooperation. During his posting he resided in Cossa with his wife Isabella, a prominent art historian, and he maintains the family estate in Lausanne, South Lyrica.
