Format
To rival the greatest youth academies in Micras, Mékelákeyá Youth Development Academy sets it's trainees to a vigorous three years of final training. At age 16, eleven boys are chosen to lead the youth system for two years. When they reach 17, the best three players are chosen to be picked by the top five clubs in Afrikaana, while the next four players are picked by the Konferentzia sides, and the remaining players released.
MYDA International
Additionally, the Mékelákeyá Academy currently has three international youth academy branches, one in River Warriors, one in Flanders and the other in North Antarctica. A U16 side is chosen from those academies to train in their native countries, and the top players from those three squads join the Afrikaanian branch of the academy for their final year of training. This policy will begin after July 5th, 2013. The current clubs in the system of the academy are FC Mahūti Akademëjá, FC Bruswerpen Genootschap, and Orient Academy.
