Established in 1707 AN as the battle-fleet of the Imperial Federation, the Grand Armada of the Imperial Federation represents the pinnacle of the thalassocratic doctrine of the Royal Court of Adrestia and their allied victors in the Ralgon War of Succession. Also known as the Grand Armada of the Sunfire Sea, it is among the largest strongest naval forces in Micras, with its primary responsibility being the defense of the empire in the Great Western Sea and the Sunfire Sea, the latter being the origin of the Armada's popular name. The
In addition to the main battle-fleet, the Grand Armada maintains a myriad of coastal defence forces, naval aviation assets, and the Royal Expeditionary Corps as a dedicated force for conducting actions ashore.
The Grand Armada is heir to the history and traditions of the Adrestian Royal Navy and its Ralgon counterparts. After 1715 AN, the Grand Armada hold control over the entirety of northwestern Cibola, including the islands of Drag'os, Tar-Palantir, and the territories of New Ralgon and the northern (more populated) portions of Valora.

4th Fleet Command (Eura)
Originally known as the Trans-Corum Command, this is the smallest combatant group in the Imperial Navy. The Command was primarily stationed on Devil's Island and was tasked primarily with the defense of trade coming to and from Corum. It was one of two designated fleets command in the naval armed forces to be perpetually forward-deployed. The Command also made occasional deployments to Eura in support trade with its allies and other peaceful countries on that continent. Due to the small Ralgonese population on Corum and the general lack of trade or territorial interest on the continent's mainland, the 4th Fleet was instead tasked with defending the trade routes and maintaining peace on the high seas, without provoking the Imperial Federation's maritime neighbors on the continent or in Eura.
Following the transfer of Devil's Island to Çakaristan in 1719 AN the 4th Fleet Command transferred to Eura, supporting the landing of Surenid forces on the island of Béihagh, where both parties would subsequently endeavour to evict the garrisons left by the Confederacy of the Dispossessed and establish a new condominium.

5th Fleet Command (Apollonia)
Tasked specifically with ensuring the protection of citizens in Tiegang, this is the most important forward-deployed command abroad. The 5th Fleet is tasked with protecting shipping from Tiegang to other important destinations such as Imarru-Lugal in The Hexarchy, and its area of responsibility also runs from Imarru-Lugal to Nixtorm and other destinations in the Sunfire Sea. Most of the fleet is stationed in and around Tiegang, but a significant portion of its force is perpetually deployed to maintain trade convoys that run between there and the Hexarchy. while a misnomer, most of the fleet's activities are not in Apollonia, but are, in fact, in the Skerry Isles.

6th Fleet Command (Coast Guard)
Deployed in all parts of the empire, the Coast Guard is a purely defensive force. Not tasked with initiating combat, it is the only Naval force permitted to set foot in the Realm of Alphaville, per the transfer agreement set by the Bassarid Empire several decades prior that saw the island demilitarized and turned into a spaceport and prominent trading center under Ralgon and, now, Imperial rule.

10th Fleet Command (Cyber Warfare)
The 10th Fleet Command encompasses the Cyber and other digital and communications capabilities possessed specifically by the Navy. Headquartered on Storm's End, the fleet is protected by its own battle groups against physical attacks, as well as by a significant portion of the 6th Fleet. However, this Fleet Command rarely sees fleet deployment assignments done independently. Instead, members of the 10th Fleet Command are temporarily attached to other combatant forces deployed domestically or abroad.
