The Elfinschenheide Military Storage, close to Elfinschenheide, Walstadt and Light in the Lanzerwald Republic, formerly the Confoederatio Aemilia, is a storage facility operated by the Volksheer, previously the Exercitus Aemilia to store decommissioned heavy military equipment. It opened in 1750. The low humidity in the tundras of southern Walstadt and Light make it a suitable location to store equipment with minimal degradation due to oxidation of metals. Equipment is stored in storage buildings made out of clamped tubular steel frames covered with corrugated steel sheets. Among the equipment stored on the site are Flachfeuergeschütz 40/1682 anti-tank cannons produced in Sankt Ludwigshafen in the 1680's, Panzergefechtswagen I and even rare Schorpioen I Pantserstrijdwagen prototypes from the first Lanzerwald-era. Besides these land vehicles, primitive J-1 Lärm fighter planes are also stored in various degrees of disrepair as well as J-2 Schwefel cruise missiles.

The rationale behind keeping this equipment in storage rather than scrapping it, is that while the equipment is not state of the art anymore, it might be necessary to to bring some of it back into service if the federation would find itself in a long war of attrition where the nation's military industrial complex is unable to keep up with the demands of the Exercitus Aemilia. Land in southern Walstadt is not greatyly suitable for agriculture, making the land itself very cheap, so that the storage of these vehicles is considered to be quite cost-effective, with most of the associated costs related to security of the site.

Located adjacent to the Elfinschenheide Military Storage is the main railroad terminal of the Bahnkorps.
