Corps d'Tirailleurs Alexandrin
The Corps d'Tirailleurs Alexandrin were a corps of volunteer militia raised from the Humanist Vanguard of the Federal Humanist Party in New Alexandria during 1706 AN as a response to the worsening security situation in Lyrica and on Eura. Subsequently adopted as the name and title of the Vanguard Division of the FHP.
Regularised during the 1750s by Secretary of Defense Fred Strong as a scheme for members of the Humanist Vanguard enrolled into the Home Guard by virtue of registered gun-ownership.
Vanguardistas taken up under this programme were placed under military discipline and the supervision of Home Guard officers. For the purpose of administration and mustering, Tirailleurs would be attached to their local Home Guard regiments as an infantry scout company.
