The Colonial Distinguished Service Medal was established by HRM King August Charles II in 2010. The medal is awarded by His Royal Majesty to recognize a Gotzer who conducts himself or herself in a distinguished manner during employment with the government of either the Royal Colony of Ansbach or the Royal Colony of Lusatia.
General service by an individual within the employment of a colonial government is recognized by the Colonial Service Medal, while employment for a period of 1-year or 3-years is recognized by the Colonial Long Service Medal.
