An initiative of Benacia Command, which funded development work undertaken by the Kalavia company of Kalgachia at Gravelbottom, commencing from 1731 AN. The VTOL project was subsequently taken up by the Commission for War on behalf of the Benacian Union Defence Force in 1733 AN.
The full production run of 400 units for the BUDF would finally be completed by 1745 AN. At the same time, Licenced production for a further 400 units for the Federal Forces of Nouvelle Alexandrie, undertaken by Javelin Industries, would see 180 delivered into service.
