Relations between the Socialist Republic of Banh Nam and the Order of the Holy Lakes began informally in 1733 and formally in 1736, upon the international recognition of Banh Nam's sovereignty.

Prince Seiji (born 1713) was appointed the first ambassador of Order of the Holy Lakes in 1737. In 1742, Prince Seiji was recalled from Dien Noi due to lack of work in the country. The government in Banh Nam had become more or less unable to function properly in Banh Nam, and relations between Banh Nam and the Order became near nonexistent. There were also worries in Huyenkula that Banh Nam would soon collapse as a functional state. In 1744, with regional instability across Eura (mainly in Oportia), the government in Huyenkula became concerned also of warlordism in or foreign hostile takeover over Banh Nam.

Banh Nam borders the Phinbellan Euran States of Kōkai and Shandānø'kaí.
