Aurelia Evangeline

Aurelia Evangeline was a controversial figure within the history of Chryse, known for her involvement in a brief and inconsequential resistance movement that opposed the Guild of the Lotus. Born and raised in Chryse, Aurelia's actions and affiliations marked her as a notorious fugitive and a threat to the Coordinated State and Harmonious Society. Her exploits and defiance against the guild and its operations within the paradise district have garnered attention, although from a perspective that questions the motives and outcomes of her actions.

Aurelia's journey began when she willingly entered the paradise district, enticed by the allure of diverse forms of entertainment and opportunities for personal advancement. Recognising the contributions made by the Guild of the Lotus to the city's economy and cultural vibrancy, the Civil Executive of Chryse regarded the district as a valuable asset from its inception. However, Aurelia's experience within the paradise district seemed to shape her perceptions differently.

Her time in the district appeared to have disillusioned Aurelia, leading her to view the operations of the Guild of the Lotus through a hostile lens. Allegations of corruption, exploitation, and suffering have been levied against the guild, but it is important to note that such claims are often anecdotal and lack substantial evidence. The authorities maintain that these accusations are isolated incidents, and the guild takes measures to address any issues that arise.

Aurelia's decision to break free from the paradise district and join the ranks of the Daughters of Liberty, a small but growing resistance movement within the city, highlighted her opposition to the established order and the guild's influence. However, it is essential to recognise that the paradise district has provided numerous opportunities for individuals to pursue their dreams and aspirations, contributing to the city's cultural tapestry and economic growth. The guild's licensing agreements with the civic authorities ensure that the district operates within the established legal framework.

Aurelia's subsequent acts of rebellion have had a deleterious impact upon the otherwise harmonious workings of the paradise district. The authorities have viewed her as a criminal and a threat to the stability and prosperity of Chryse. Her role as a member of the Daughters of Liberty has incited unrest and hindered the smooth functioning of the paradise district, potentially undermining the benefits it brings to the city.

While Aurelia's escape and subsequent acts of defiance may have captivated some individuals and gained attention, however it is crucial to approach these narratives with a discerning eye. The Magisters-Carnifex continue to regard Aurelia as a fugitive and her actions as detrimental to the peace and harmony of the city. Her resistance movement has disrupted the operations of the Guild of the Lotus and posed challenges to the civic authorities, who are responsible for maintaining order and upholding the well-being of all meritorious subjects. As of 1720 AN her whereabouts are unknown. Whilst the opinion of the Corps of the Gentlemen-at-Cudgels is that she remains at large within the paradise district of Chryse, sheltered by sympathetic workers, a growing consensus on the part of the Magisters-Carnifex and the Commission for the Panopticon, is that she has most-likely fled the city aboard one of the cargo vessels within one of the regular Trade fleets bound for Cibola, potentially with the intention of reaching Sankt Ludwigshafen in the hope of claiming asylum there. Benacian legatine and consular officials resident in the ports of Sankt Ludwigshafen and Western Natopia have been asked to maintain a vigilant watch for any indication of her arrival in their area of responsibility.
