Controversy

In 1707 AN, Alberobianco signed an agreement with Floria national football team despite the international sanctions imposed against Floria following the invasion of Port Balaine. This led to numerous criticisms on social networks, with the birth of the #BoycottAlberobianco campaign, and in the national media. Giacinto Sabbatini, executive chairman of Alberobianco, said that “Alberobianco stands with peace and freedom. We condemn war, aggression, and any kind of human rights violation. [...] The Florian Football Association is an autonomous and independent body, and their national football team has not been banned from international competitions. We felt it was possible to sign an agreement”. The controversy also involved national politics, but the Vegnese government has not yet issued any official statement on the matter.
