Lanuria was a province in Jingdao. It was established in 1660 AN as a buffer zone in the aftermath of the War of Lost Brothers to protect the northern border. It was mostly uninhabited and no real colonisation efforts were made. With the collapse of Gerenia, the transport of goods between west and east Gerenia came to an abrupt halt. This meant the end of any economical advantage of the region. Funds for colonisation were redirected to the launch of Operation Beibu Bianjing, which made the Camoleo River a natural border of the Empire.
