PETROPOLIS — José Emmanuel Thorgils Kerularios, Baron Kerularios, was formally appointed Mesazon of the Imperial State of Constancia yesterday, assuming leadership of the Imperial Constancian Government at the start of the Twenty-First Imperial Synkletos.
The appointment was confirmed following consultations between the Autokráteira, Princess Rosamund, and the leadership of the Constancian Nationalist & Humanist Party, which commands a majority in the newly convened legislature.
Baron Kerularios succeeds Lucas Espiridon, who served as Mesazon from 14.I.1746 AN through the conclusion of the Twentieth Imperial Synkletos. The outgoing Mesazon has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Micras Treaty Organization.
Among the key appointments announced, Ardashir Zand Ardashirzade Osman assumes the portfolio of Minister of Defense, while Nikephoros Palaiologos takes charge of the Ministry for Reconstruction and Infrastructure. Ziba Mehraban has returned to serve once more as Chief Secretary.
The new administration has signaled continuity on several major initiatives. Deployment of the NOVA Shield defense system will proceed through the Concord Alliance Defense Technology Commission. Investment in Alexandrium mining and research remains a priority.
