The Arzhav Revolutionary Army (often abbreviated to the ARA) is a guerrilla group emerged in Çakaristan. Its existence surfaced in early 1745 AN, leading up to the eleventh congressional elections, when this group was allied with the Soviet Socialist Party.
The name of the group was a designation given by the Çakari intelligence agency, given no official name was known. It refers to the group's now former headquarters in the city of Arzhav, the former capital of the Kazari People's Socialist Republic.
The group considers its origins in the Kazari People's Socialist Republic (which existed around 1538 AN) and Qyzyl People's Republic (existed between 1704 and 1711 AN). The group has been active underground for some time, including recruiting fighters. Initially communists from the former Qyzyl People's Republic, later from the remaining fighters of the Hrithik's rebellion. The group got a boost when Mao Myksos took over the leadership. This is controversial because Mao is the uncle of Lucy Myksos, the Shahbanu of Çakaristan.
In the group's first official press release, it declared itself an ally of the Democratic Republic of East Floria: "Comrades! Keep courage! While you fight against the west, we fight on your east side!"
