Relations between the Democratic Republic of Daau and the Order of the Holy Lakes were established in 1711, following a request from a Dauian representative for President Xi Bing Jin to visit Hurmu on official business.

Kevin Sim serves as Daau's Consul General to the Order. 

Satō Shu was the Order's ambassador to Daau from 1719 until his passing in 1735. Since 1735, Princess Esuta Tonugawa has held the position of ambassador to Daau.
