Mataba, officially Daau's Autonomous Region of Mataba (abbr. DMAT) is a special autonomous region located in the west of Jurong, Daau. It has a total population of 30,000.
Mataba speaks the Matabese Dialect and the Daau Dialect. It is the only region in Daau which speaks Matabese.
The region was formed as the Matabese peacefully surrended to the Dauians in year 1606 when the Dauian Revolt took place, stating that the Matabese would like to be under protection and jurisdiction by Daau as they wish to live a peaceful life onwards from the Kozzakan colonization. Thus making Mataba under Daau but with more freedom and power than other regions in the country.
