Three Speakers were able to form coalitions in the decades prior to the Panopticon Reforms of 1711: Doir Jen Merah (1671-1698), Xander Jen Johannes (1702-1703) of the N&H, and Brugen Aldef (1703-1710) of the Reversionist faction. While there is no official prime-minister equivalent in the Miþuï, the reforms of 1711 vested the power of the Sovereign Szodan in the hitherto ceremonial legislative chamber; this allows for the Miþuï to appoint a President of the Realm’s General Staff. Brugen Aldef, secured the first election in 1711 and used his positions of power and influence to renegotiate the electoral process to allow a party sponsored by the Cult of the Sacred Detonation to run in those Bailiwicks they control in exchange for abstention from all non-tied votes.
