Heliopolis is a planned city in Aqabah that is intended to be the primary acadmeic, scientific, and research and development center. It is designed to be 100% energy self-sufficient via solar and wind power. It will lie along the path of the Pan-Euran Highway, between Aqaba and Petropolis.
