Sanaman Elite Hockey League

The Sanaman Elite Hockey League the professional ice hockey league in Sanama, formed in 2020. It was created by a consortium of Sanaman business people, with each team owning an equal share in the Sanaman Elite Hockey Association. The requirement to join the league was financial viability, size of the local media market, and size and quality of the arena. The league is contested by 14 teams over 52 rounds and a playoff to determine the champion. The league does not feature the most well-known hockey team in Sanama, the Fatehpur Sikri Buccaneers, which will compete in the MEHL.

Expansion

For the 2021–22 season, the SEHL will expand from 14 to 20 teams. The expansion teams come from Elwynn, Natopia, Ransenar, Shireroth and the Unified Governorates.
