The Phinbellan florin (Phineaner: Florin Phinbella; Taesongean: 핀벨라의 플로린; RR: Phinbella-ui peullorin; symbol: ðƒ, Pfl. or ƒ; currency code: PHF) is the currency of the Federal Republic of Phinbella. The florin is subdivided into 100 shillings. Phinbella formerly used Phinbellan belly as their currency, but after an analysis that showed Phinbellan purchasing power is low, the Phinbellan government decided to change it's currency into the florins.
There are various symbols have been put forward as possibilities for symbols of the florin, like ðƒ, Pfl., and ƒ. The florin itself is a part of the joint program of Economical Revival Project and the first stage of First Three Months Development program which has been implemented since September 2019.
History
The currency circulation in Phinbella has been implemented as the component of the Ministry of Economical Affairs since a week after the foundation of Provisional Government of Phinbella. On October 25 RP 2611 the Ministry of Economical affairs starting to circulates the old Provisional Government money (M). The economical movement itself is low because of two major conflicts that occured (National Uprising and Civil War).
On the aftermath of the Civil War, with the newly reshuffled cabinet, the government decided to change the currency into the Belly (PHB/฿) with an artificial rate of 1฿:2.50 Craitë. This action itself done so that the Phinbellan economy would sustain it's stregth in the end of suffering civil war. With a speculation in that time, the Phinbellan economy will regain it's strength that has been lost after the war.
In the third cabinet-era, the government shuts down the artificial rate status of the Dollar and starting to run a new exchange rate according in both of Phinbellan and Malaysian economical strength. The program is successful, and at its peak, Phinbellan belly rate rise up to RM 2.40 per belly.
But, after the part one of the Phinbellan Tzuyu War, an analysis showed that the Phinbellan purchasing power weakened and the rate of the belly couldn't help much at the problem.
"If the currency rate doesn't stabilizes and balanced with the Phinbellan purchasing power, our economic strength will slowly decreases."—Rafi Farhanto, Secretary of State.
And from the statement the Secretary of State issued, the statement itself become the material to the consideration for the Ministry of economy to replace the currency to stabilize the economy.
Finnaly, on June 27 RP 2615 the government decided to change the currency for the second time to the present-day florin and declaring the old belly obsolete. The florin itself uses a peg of 0.92 Craitë per florin, the government itself stated that they use the new but low rate to stabilize the economy and balancing the currency itself with the Phinbellan purchasing power.
