The Storish Football Museum is Stormark's National Museum of football. It is located at the Haraldsborgs Idrætsvøllur in Haraldsborg and is run by the Storsk Boldspil-Union. The museum was founded to to preserve, conserve and interpret several important collections of Storish association football memorabilia.

The Museum

Founded in 2010, the Storish Football Museum houses over 1000 objects of football memorabilia, including Stormark's oldest cap and match ticket, from its first official international match in the year 2007; and Stormark's oldest national trophy, the Heartland Cup, which was made in 2005.

Haraldsborgs Idrætsvøllur stadium tour

The Storish Football Museum offers an expansive and informative tour of Haraldsborgs Idrætsvøllur where visitors get an experience similar to players on match day. Visitors are able to visit the underground roadway, team changing rooms and managers dugouts. Visitors are able to walk down the tunnel to the unveiling of the Idrætsvøllur crowd.

Visitors get access to 1000 exhibits in all of the 5 display gallery's along with the chance to score a goal from the Idrætsvøllur penalty spot. Visitors also get the chance to see the Storish Football Hall of Fame and are able to climb the stairs to the cup presentation area in Idrætsvøllur's stands.

Collections

The Storish Football Museum is home to a remarkable range of football related objects. The objects are divided into separate donor collections. These collections are invaluable to the museum as they tell the story of Storish football. These collections inspire new exhibitions and displays as well as refreshing existing ones.

The museum has an active acquisitions policy and regularly accepts donations provided they are in line with the collections policy.

Education

With over 7 galleries and 1000 objects the Storish Football Museum is an engaging and inspiring learning experience.

Football is an important part of Stormark's heritage, its way of life and sense of identity. The Storish Football Museum collects preserves and interprets this heritage. Our galleries use objects, film, sound and interactive activites to explain the history and impact of football in Stormark.

Working with education professionals the museum has developed a series of teachers' notes and worksheets to aid teacher-led interaction with the museum's collection. These can be made available for school visits.

Hall of Fame

The Storish Football Hall of Fame honours the really great players, managers and officials who have contributed to Stormark's football reputation with their skills, spirit and determination. Today, there are 19 football players in the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is characterised as a must-see for every person that loves football and whoever is involved in football. Every year, supporters and figures from within football propose some worthy entrants before the final decision for the list of the players.
