Mataba Di Paota Makato Muda Football Club or in short Mataba DPMM is a professional football club in Mataba. Based in Mataba, the team plays in the Daau Premier League as part of the Mataba Football Project. The team plays all their games in Mataba in the Shahkok Stadium.
Founded by Makato Muda in 2000, the team was transferred to the Matabese Royal Family 2 years into the founding due to the club's sucess and has remained the same. The club has won the Daau League in the 2003-04 season and has also won the Matabese Cup 4 times since its founding. Although never having played in the Liga Mataba, DPMM are never comparable to Sultan FC as to the Matabese people, DPMM will always be the people's club.
History
Founded as Mataba's premier club, Mataba DPMM would gain a professional license in Daau after 2 years of waiting, they joined the Daau League 1 on 1st July 2002. This prompted the club to continue their ventures in Dauian football while fielding a full Matabese side prior the the international recognition of Mataba.
The club is the most successful Matabese club in the history of the region as the club has reached the Dauian top flight once in its history and also achieved 4 Matabese Cup victories while playing overseas, the most titles a club has one since the cup's founding in 2017. Mataba DPMM was transferred under to the Iddris Rohamidi, the brother to the Matabese crown prince Kinasha Rohamidi on the 2nd of July 2002 following their application success to the Daau League. Following the takeover, it was rumored that the club would return to Mataba but was rejected due to the ambitions set by the new chairman.
The Royals are highly regarded in Mataba due to their status and their financial prowess to operate in an overseas league.
