Pahmer FC is a football club from Pulau Pahmer, Mataba. The club is the founding member of the Liga Mataba as the club's chairman, Gabriel Extegruarxta was the first to come up with a unified football league in Mataba to the local football association.

The club is located in the Basagrande region of Pulau Pahmer, west of the main city.

History

Basagrande FC

As Basagrande was a rather remote region of Pulau Pahmer and Mataba, football was the sole sport avalible for the young kids who lived there, a businessman by the name of Hakim Putra came to the region as a vacation trip and realized the immense potential some of the kids had and decided to start Basagrande FC as a small regional youth club. The club would be given a license to play in the Matabese youth divisions which was then sanctioned by the breakaway Matabese Football Association. Basagrande FC would slowly expand from a village-based club to a regionally known club for its youth programmes and pathway.

In the club's later years, Basagrande would transform from a sole youth club to a full semi-professional football club within the Basagrande region, becoming the first to do so in the region too. They would compete in the Matabese Amateur Division and sometimes would also join the Dauian Semi-Professional League in the off-season.

Pahmer Huo FC

Basagrande Football Club would be renamed to Pahmer Huo FC as the club would sign a sponsor deal with Huo Enterprise to allow more funding for the club's youth setup and also covering wages as the club was slowly converting to become a fully-professional football club.

However the sponsorship deal wouldn't last long as Huo Enterprise pulled out of the deal following financial setbacks with investing in the region and the club's sudden downfall of division along with the news of the club turning professional.

Pahmer Football Club

The club would finally gain its professional license from the Matabese Football Federation on 26th May 2022, allowing it to be registered for the upcoming Liga Mataba season, the nation's first ever premier top football division. Pahmer FC was also the first to ever receive the license and also the first from Pulau Pahmer. Although the club is no longer named after the region it was founded it, the club still has retained most players from Basagrande and will continue to do so.

Ideologies

Basagrande only

The club is known for its Basagrande-region players only policy which is still in play today as 90% of the club's players are from the Basagrande region. The club has also loosened the policy and has been attracting foreign talent such as Nigel and former Daau U-23 international Gopalnathan.

Fans

Rivalries

Pahmer FC is known for its rivalries such as the Pahmer Super Derby against Pulau Pahmer United and the Mataba Derby against Sultan FC.

Pahmer Super Derby

The derby between Pahmer and Pulau United is one of the most watched games of the season as both clubs with rich Pahmerese hertiage clash in Pahmer to show each other who has the better side and better fans. Atmosphere in the matches are usually loud and noisy with alot of Pahmerese chants going and and stadiums are usually fully packed. Players clash on the pitch frequently to add to the atmosphere and rivalry.

Mataba Derby

The regionwide derby between the capital team and the outsider team is surely one of the major games of the season as it was ranked the number one watched game of the season when the teams clashed back in the Matabese Super Division. The games are tense as Pahmer's home advantage allows them to rival out the travelling team and stun the Sultan FC players with the loud and packed stadium, however the away trip for Pahmer isn't easy either as they have to travel to the region capital in a busy weekday night to face Sultan FC in the dreaded Sultan Fadli Stadium which is notoriously known for its below average grass quality whilst being a stadium for the representative teams' home stadium.
