Taizun is a city in northeastern Gerenia, and it is the capital city of Barzat. Taizun is located on the shores of the Northern Sea.

Taizun was founded in 1933 as Sper. In 1941, a devastating fire destroyed most of the town, sparing only a few buildings. Then a new settlement was built in a near location, on the old farm "Tayfun" –which inspired the new name of the town–.

Taizun currently has a population of about 55,000.

Being a secondary port in Gerenia, maritime commerce is not a main activity. The most important industry in Taizun is tourism, which is in constant growth.

The Northern Railway connects Taizun with Ramez City (and Port Isherwood) to the west. There are highway connections from Taizun to New Qalani, Safiria across the border via Route 60.
