The Safiria national football team is the football team which currently represents the micronation of Safiria, and previously represented the Hammish autonomous territory of the same name. It is a member of the AEFA, and is run by the NHS.

The team has existed twice in the FMF's history; firstly in 2010 as both an independent nation and a territory of Hamland, and secondly since late 2011, again independently.

History

The team was founded in 2010 after Safiria's Micrasian claim was successful, but the nation was annexed by Hamland and became an autonomous territory soon after. During this time, Safiria played its first ever international match, before leaving Micras.

In late 2011, Safiria returned to Micras. Prior to the following year's World Cup qualifying, the team competed at the first ever Four Nations Internationals, finishing in third place. In the qualifiers, the team finished second in their four-team group with eleven points, behind Stormark, to reach the inaugural Copa Apollonia.
