The cartridge was designed by the Waffenschmiederei Ludwigshafen, to be used in the Maschinenkarabiner 1754, the new standard rifle of the Lanzerwald Republic. The ammunition is made in Waffenschmiederei Ludwigshafen munition factories near Gödelitz and Oudorp in the Lanzerwald Republic and near St. Cloud in central Meckelnburgh.
