Avranches is a city located at the intersection of Newlands and Karum lordship in Normandie. It is also part of the Avrances-Nerik Urban District. Its population was 171,320 in 1750 AN. Droge Chamberlain has been the mayor since 1748 AN. Avranches is one of the southernmost cities in Normandy. It lies approximately between the 56th and 57th parallels north. Avranches fell into disrepair between 1685 AN and 1748 AN.

Avranches is a major city, supporting the agricultural burden of Normandy. The region's climate is considered one of the warmest in Normandy. Avranches is situated on a flat plain, and an irrigation canal passes near the city.

History

Avranches was founded in 1626 AN during the last expansion of the Normandie Jarldom. Avranches was one of the easternmost cities of Noordmannaland, situated above Benkernbourg (The city adjacent to Hamland, Hamland later became Caputia). Until the fall of Stormark in 1685 AN, the city remained relatively peaceful. After Stormark's fall, the city fell under the control of the Green Lordship of Avranches. The Recession of 1737 affected the region, and the city was abandoned. In 1744 AN, it was occupied by the NRA and assigned to Karum. Part of the city was used to form the city of Nerik. During the Purification ov Normandie, the city was subject to various conflicts. During the Fall of Karum, the city was occupied by the EANN and used as a munitions depot. Later, the Normandokarum Fyrd recaptured the city. After the dissolution of Karum in 1748 AN, the entire city was opened to settlement. By 1751 AN, the city was rapidly gaining population.

The entire former Avranches is now known as the Avrances-Nerik City Area. 25% is the city of Nerik.
