Nixtorm

Nixtorm is a province of the Imperial Federation. Located on the southeastern portion of mainland Keltia, it is one of the centers of the Ralgonese diaspora within the Imperial Federation. Originally having its political center on old Ralgon on the island of Drag'os, the area was mostly abandoned c. 1685 AN during the major crisis that claimed nearly the entire island's territory. The Ralgonese diaspora moved here, formally expanding into the region by 1700 AN. The territorial capital is Al-Jumeir'on, having established itself as the capital near 1715 AN. The capital is only nominal in nature, as this is where the province's judiciary and the ruling house of the province (itself nominal in nature) hold their respective seats. In reality, most of the population lives on the coast or on the islands located of the province's mainland, so most government functions are carried out at its largest city, Nixtorm City, itself located on the largest of those islands.

The current territory borders New Alexandria to the west on its mainland, and to the north with its Gold Coast territory. Also to the west, it shares an inland boundary with the Hurmudan/Phinbellan territory of Tanah Baharu, where the hot desert of Nixtorm's northern interior severely limits contact of any kind with the area. The population picks up digital channels from nearby New Alexandria's television channels, contributing to recent cultural influences from this particular region, this adding to the rich native, Passian, and Ralgonese cultural heritage in the region.
