The Duke Nicholas Brewery is a brewery located, originally located in Silafucheng, but now in Beigang, Jingdao. The brewery was founded by refugees from Leylstadt in 1687. This happened after the import of Leylstadter Bieren was banned in Jingdao. Leylstadter Beer was banned because it had broken promises to the Jingdaoese government to move to Silafucheng, but moved to Tiegang instead. To the dismay of the Leylstadter Bieren brewery, most of the products offered by the Duke Nicholas Brewery are copies of the beers offered, and the Jingdaoese government refuses to intervene. After having come to an agreement in 1697 AN, the company slowly replaced the copies with their own special blend.
