Originated as a warband composed of Laqs who had been in the service of Kaiser Mog before his downfall. Fleeing into the vast Benacian Green, they made their capital in the ruins of Ilam, which they named the Yellow Mountain.
In time, this warband developed into seven clans, each with their own prince. One of the clans, Q°yŝeġ°ežy, took its name from the Yellow Mountain itself, as it was tasked with maintaining the holy sanctuary they had established in the city center. The seven clans operated in the Green during the early years of the Shirerithian Third Era, subduing rival factions and levying a blood tax on their subjects for population growth, training the children of the vanquished in their ways. During its peak, the seven clans operated without opposition across central and western Benacia. Subdued by armies under Kaiser Letifer III after the seven clans began increasingly aggressive raids into Shirerithian territory, with the Yellow Mountain being systematically obliterated thereafter. |
