The Greater Elwynnese State consists of seven autonomous countries:
- The Alalehzamini Autonomous Republic (known variably as the AAR, Alalehzamin, "South Elwynn", "the South").
- The Amokolian Republic, (known variably as "East Amokolia", "Elwynnese Amokolia", or simply as "Amokolia")
- The Free City of Chryse
- The Principality of Mishalacia, also known as Mishalan
- The the Upper Elwynnese Republic (known variably as the "Congressional Counties", "North Elwynn", "Congressional Elwynn", "Congress Elwynn", "CC Elwynn", "the North"), and
- the Autonomous Republic of Normark
- the Sovereign Confederation's Autonomous Republic (known as SCAR or the Sovereign Confederation)
There has previously been another autonomous country, the short-lived Northern Commonwealth of Greater Cimmeria and Kiladôr, from 1675 to 1677.
