The Chryse national football team is the football team which currently represents the micronation of Chryse, and previously represented the United Benacian Republic constituent nation of the same name. It is a member of the WMFA. The team is the official successor of the Verionist Republic and Verionian Empire, and as such retains their records.

History

The team was founded in mid-2020 after the foundation of Chryse as the successor state to Gran Verionia, which itself was the successor to the Verionian Empire and the Verionist Republic. Gran Verionia's team was initially intended to be the official successor team to the Verionian Empire but the nation was dissolved prior to the completion of the 2020 EMU Championships qualification rounds, with Chryse being its successor. In the qualifiers, as the Verionian Empire, the team advanced to the play-offs, but were beaten on aggregate by Passas. Chryse gained independence shortly after its foundation after the United Benacian Republic was dissolved.
