The People's Republic of Graecia is a Communist Micronation founded on 1686 AN. It claims Graecia Island (former Taeland), and a landmass in the planet Argon dubbed the Dervenian Autonomous People's Republic. The Micras claim was recognized a Norton year later,, so Graecia can be considered a newcomer to Micras. Graecia is a unique nation, been currently the only communist one on Micras. The Goverment's Functionalities are mostly concentrated on the hands of the Premier (currently Eugene Friedriechsen), who effectively rules the nation from the capital city of Salonigrad. The Graecian people live in a huge reconstruction effort; Since Taeland was dissolved, the island has long abandoned. The economy of the newborn state is still small, because no major resource has been exploited yet (with a few exceptions); As the communist ideals dictate, most things are colloquially owned by the people (and thus, the state), so, the living conditions can be described as relatively adequate. Graecia has drawn criticism for it's governance; Many say that the current premier just uses socialism to justify his unlawful rule and cult of personality. However, these claims are not popular; instead, Graecia has managed to make allies (even if not communist), namely the Haifo-Pallisican Imperial Trade Union and the Free City of Chryse Graecia is a member of the MTO, and a potential participating member in the Port of Vines.

Etymology

The prefix People's republic is commonly used by socialist states. It symbolises that the republic "had been created by the people and for the people" (althrough rarely a People's republic works as a republic, in contrast to it's name). Graecia is an annagramatism of Greece, where Eugene Friedriechsen is from. It also can be interpreted as an annagramatism of grace. The digraph ae was also used in the island's former name, Taeland, so this symbolises the continuity of communism in the island and the two states.

History

The Graecian Government has not revealed it's history of foundation; There is a popular legend that states these: Graecia Island was abandoned since Taeland was dissoluted. It's inhabitants, in complete anarchy, managed to create a distinctive Graecian Culture, but there were also hostilities between the inhabiting tribes. Suddenly, they sighted a ship carrying an unknown flag (the current Graecian one). In the start, they thought that this ship was full of pirates, so they prepared their arms (as there was no gunpowder, they had axes and spears). However, the ship did not seem to perform any moves that would indicate that it came to plunder the island, as it slowly approached the sandy coast of Ersoy, the former capital. It disembarked on the remnants of the former port; guards left the ship first, to secure that the locals would not attack. After that, a young man dressed in official clothes appeared in the front of the ship; He was introduced as Eugene Friedriechsen, and, in his speech , he stated that he would stop that bad situation, creating a Communist nation on the island. The People's Republic of Graecia's First State was founded on 11/6/2020

Foundation and Reforms

The first 2-3 days of the nation were going as intended; the Discord server for the natio was fully set up, and most of the insignia and info of the state were designed. However, things soon changed; As Eugene Friedriechsen did not made something interesting to work with his nation's members, activity started to be non-excsistent. As such, the nation was made no more viable. So, the Refors got National Reorganisation (known also as the Twenty-three of june reforms, or as The dissolution of the First State) were put in place. Most notably, the rulling party, the Communist Party of Graecia, was dissoluted, and the ideology changed from Marxism-Lenninism to Graecian Marxism. In theese reforms, Eugene Friedriechsen collected more power in his hands, and, althrough theese reforms literally saved the nation, some could say that theese reforms were a "self-coup"

Second State

After the reforms, the Second State was formed, the nation's current era. It could be said that now the nation is more organised; especially in the foreign relations. However, it is still an obscure, unrecognised nation. Inside the nation, activity is still literraly non-excsistent. This is a problem that does not distract the nation, however, and the Micras claim was accepted on 12/7/2020. (expect info for the DAPR that will come soon)
