Gerenian Ice Hockey League (also referred to as the Ice League, Gerenian: Leran Hokyŷeles Gherenies) is a semi-professional ice hockey league composed of nine teams in Gerenia. It is run by the SHG (Strazal Hokyes Gherenies, Gerenian Hockey Association).
History
The League was founded in late 2012 by the then Gerenian Hockey National Commission in order to develop ice hockey in Gerenia. Soon afterwards, eight teams applied for membership, which was granted to all during December. The first season was announced to take place in 2013, from March to September.
