The Esteemed Republican Alriggian Sports Guild (often abbreviated to ERAS) is the national football association of Alrig, just called sport in Alrig. It is responsible for the organisation of the national team and the nation's professional football league. The ERAS is a member of the AEFA. Despite international confusion surrounding the name, ERAS is not active in any other sports than football. The Esteemed Republic Alriggian Sports Guild is located in Sint Anna, Aemilian Alrig.
History
The organisation was founded in 1667 by the presidents of Driftwood Sports, Dynamo Sint Anna, SC Batavian Warriors, SC Suidwest, SC Zeebrugge, SC Driftwood and the republic's president Hieronim Erazm. Elected as first president of the organisation was Desiderim Erazm. In 1731 the peaceful Partition of Alrig happened and the nation was formally divided into a Shirerithian and an Aemilian part. The Esteemed Republican Alriggian Sports Guild was relocated to Sint Anna in 1735, so it became an Aemilian organisation. This happened in coordination with Shirerithian authorities, who asked for traditions, such as the singing of hymns to the Heavenly Light to be kept.
