The Imperial Constancian Labor Service is an agency of the Imperial Constancian Government under the Ministry for Labor, established as a means to reduce unemployment, provide the unemployed a means to work for pay and learn marketable skills, and serve as a labor pool for priority state projects.
History
Inspired by the Benacian Labour Reserve, it was established by Mesazon Alissa Guadalim in 1710, in light of the Recession of 1709, surprisingly via draft legislation of the Imperial Synkletos granted Imperial Assent in lieu of an easier-procured Autokratorial Decree.
Beginning in VII.1723 AN, the Constancian authorities were entitled to draw upon non-commissioned and enlisted prisoners of war, held by the nascent Allied Administration of Captive Hostiles, to serve as auxiliaries for the Imperial Constancian Labor Service.
Effective the first day of 1735, it became a subordinate body of the National Service Administration.
