The Violette Sea is a large body of water occupying an indentation in the northern coastline of Apollonia. A small archipelago of twelve islands within the sea comprise the Purple Isles. To the north lies the first of the Vaan Aujoen isles, Ragnoye. The region has historically been home to nations such as Cranda, Arminy, Gralus, and Lac Glacei. The southernmost shore (as of 1697 AN) is occupied by Eesdeheito, which is jointly administered by Hurmu and Lac Glacei.

The name stems from the Lac Glaceian word for purple, which is in turn a reference to the abundance of amethyst in the region.
