Lydveldt Hjansen is a Craitish former-footballer who last played for Sverige Tiem FC, with whom he spent his entire professional career. Hjansen played as a central defender and earned five international caps.
Career
Club
Hjansen's professional career began in 2003 at the age of 23 upon signing for Sverige Tiem FC ahead of CrFA League 1's inaugural season. As part of a defensive line including Vorgeņ Zyxveldtsen and Jon Vorgensen, Hjansen helped the team to five consecutive fourth-placed finishes in the league and an appearance in the King's Cup final in 2006. After a poor season in 2008, finishing bottom, and a fifth place the following year, Sverige won a first national title in 2010, with Hjansen a key part of their successful defence. In a purple patch of the club's history, the side won the 2011 King's Cup and the 2012 league title in the following two seasons, with Hjansen maintaining his place in the team's starting line-up. After finishing third in 2013, and also losing another cup final, Hjansen announced his retirement that summer aged 34, after eleven seasons with the club.
International
Hjansen first received a call-up to the national team in 2009, prior to that year's World Cup, but failed to gain a cap or make the tournament's squad. Following Sverige's title-winning 2010 campaign, Hjansen was included in Craitland's 23-man 2010 World Cup roster after making his début in a friendly. Following an injury to starter Paulio Demhivo in the quarter-final win over Valencia, Hjansen subsequently started both the semi-final and final defeats of Toketi and Hamland, respectively, keeping a clean sheet in both as the side won its third world title. Hjansen received call-ups for Craitland up until 2012, but was not included in any further tournament squads, and ended his international career with a total of five caps upon his full retirement in 2013.
