History
Bintang Lukana was a result of a merger between Lukana Sporting and Bintang Union in 1900 due to both sides' financial issues. Jeremy Tan and his close factory workers came together to found their very own Bintang Lukana, meaning the Ocean Star in Dalay. The club was then known as a rather small local club that only hired players from the Bintang region which was home to alot of bottom class workers. The club was then famous for being a worker's only football club thus quickly rising in popularity due to it being nicknamed the people's club. The club has slowly transformed into a proper football club as the years went by, collecting fans around Daau and attempting to win another title by the time arises. Bintang went from a small local club to a massive nationwide known club in 2008 when they brought in local legend Clover Fazri as manager and also managed to sign star player Sunny Nur Hazim for the first team. Bintang would win the league in the 2008/09 season and would go on to win it again in the 2009/10 season. Bintang Lukana's rising fame led to a sudden rise in finances and allowed the club to continue its golden period.
Nowadays the club has rather slowed down and hired Krasno manager Timun Del Tamber for the 22/23 season in hopes of a title charge. However, things took a turn for the club as president Jeremy Huang stepped down due to financial concerns and dressing room atmosphere issues which led to Anderson Lainez stepping up to take care of the club. Anderson and his board fired Timun Del Tamber due to his bad attitude with the board and players and also ordered a revamp of the coaching staff. It was then revealed that the club was not in debt but however had unpaid wages due to mismanagement. On the 11th of February, it was announced that the club had brought in Stefano Curo as interim manager for the remainder of the season. The club failed their title charge as in the last matchday of the season, the team lost 3-2 to Daas City and therefore losing their 1 point lead and becoming second place in the league standings.
The club finished 3rd in the league for the 2023-24 campaign, coming behind Matabese developmental side Cheetahs XII in the standings. The club's contential debut in the AEFA Champions League saw the team make an impressive quarter-finals run before getting knocked out on penalties. The Bintang board announced a budget raise of Cr 5m to aid with the club's contential targets.
Ahead of the 2024–25 campaign, the club welcomed Qixying hotshot Christos Chua for an impressive Cr 1.2m fee to aid with the frontline. Bintang extended manager Stefano Curo's deal to 2026 following the club's performances. The club finished in third place for a second season in a row behind Daas City despite the new arrivals. The club underwent another set of budget cuts due to financial concerns.
The 2025–26 began with a club record sale of Wee Jun Kit for Cr 8.4 to Muscat DFC, becoming the highest paid domestic transfer in DSL history. The club bid farewell to youth prospect Khai Bilfhinger for Cr 200k to Muscat aswell. Shaiful Izzat left the club following expiry of his contract with Emiliano Calagri sold to Qixying on an undisclosed fee. The club promoted youth hotshot Joshua Gehrens, creative midfielder Cleiton Ribeiro and signed youthful defender Iryan Fahmi alongside James Rajah. A statement foreign signing of Phil Linwood capped off the new arrivals for the new season. Anderson Lainez would leave his president role for the Tan Family to consolidate control of the club through the arrival of George Tan.
