The Shireroth national women's football team, affectionately known as Sisera's Kicking Daemons, is the women's football team which represents the micronation of Shireroth. Players hail from regions such as Greater Kildare, Sathrati, Batavia, and Brookshire, showcasing the nation's vast talent pool.

History

The team was founded in early 1740 AN by Iliana Myksos, a passionate advocate for both tea and - later - women's football. Iliana was inspired by her distant cousin, Lucy Myksos, who had played a pivotal role in establishing a national women's football team in Çakaristan a year earlier. Lucy's achievements motivated Iliana to advocate for the formation of a women's team in Shireroth, a nation with a rich, albeit traditionally male-dominated, football heritage. The spark that ignited the creation of Sisera's Kicking Daemons came with an invitation from Çakaristan for a friendly match between their national women's teams (an invitation sent to all countries with tea as national drink). Iliana seized this opportunity to rally support, gather talent, and formalize the creation of the Shirerithian women's football team. Her vision resonated across the country, attracting players from diverse backgrounds eager to represent Shireroth on the international stage, especially as the Shiro-Benacian War was dwindling down and coming to its conclusion and people desired new entertainment to forget about the destruction of war.

The team derived its name, Sisera's Kicking Daemons, refers to the goddess Sisera, emphasizing both their fighting spirit and their unique identity. The name also served as a nod to Shireroth's storied past and its capacity for reinvention: without destruction there's no room for something new.

Stadium

The team plays its home matches at the historic Zijincheng Stadion, a storied venue located in Xiacheng's outskirts. Once the primary stadium of the Jingdaoese national football team, the Zijincheng Stadion has been repurposed to serve as the home of Sisera's Kicking Daemons. The stadium underwent minor renovations in 1740 AN to better accommodate women's football matches, including the installation of enhanced training facilities and seating expansions to accommodate growing fan interest.

The Zijincheng Stadion has since become a rallying point for supporters, known for its lively atmosphere and passionate displays of Shirerithian pride. The fans' chants often invoke the team's name and echo the myths of Sisera, further strengthening the bond between the players and their nation.
