The Resident for Eesdeheito is the representative of the Executive of Hurmu in Eesdeheito, and an ex officio member of the Joint Council. Between 1702 and 1717, the position was a cabinet-level one under the name Minister for Eesdeheito. Prime Minister Jamshid-e Osman did away with the ministers for the condominiums in 1717, replacing them with residents.
