While under the name of Amokolia, the team had a long-standing history within the FMF. After successfully winning the bid to host the 2008 FMF World Cup, despite having never played a competitive match previously, Amokolia unexpectedly reached the quarter-finals of the tournament, where they narrowly lost to the following year's eventual winners Alexandria.

Subsequent years saw considerably less Amokolian success, however. In 2009's qualifiers, the team finished fourth in their five-team group, before finishing bottom of another five-team group in the following year's qualifying stages. After finishing fifth out of six in 2011, and third out of five in 2012, the team's fortunes improved in 2013. In the year's qualifiers, the team narrowly missed-out on a début Benacia Cup appearance after placing second in their four-team group but did finish as runners-up in the second edition of the friendly Senyan School International Tournament later in the year. Upon the completion of the 2014 FMF World Cup qualification rounds, Llæng will succeed Amokolia's FMF affiliation.
