Paolo Antonio Aguilar is a Santanderian politician.

Deploring the status quo, he self-published a manifesto entitled Regeneracionismo, where he criticized the continuing economic stagnation of Santander despite the re-establishment of government in 1686 after the White Plague and Wechua Sorrow. Initially a prized recruit for the Nationalist & Humanist Party, with which he easily won a seat in the Cortes Regionales de Santander, he later alienated senior leaders and cadres of the party when he denounced their "feckless leadership and ineffectual programs", and only his parentage and lineage spared him further political and personal retaliation. His perspective was proven right in later years, considering his more than admirable recruiting, organization, and mutual aid efforts in his constituency in Santiago, where his charisma, youth, and his fearlessness in attacking the leadership for the continuing status quo earned him supporters and donors, calling themselves Paolo's Pobres (Paolo's Poor).

Repeatedly re-elected by a landslide and no serious contenders, he found himself alienated further in the Cortes Regionales, where his lack of allies subsequently denied him any significant committee chairmanships or even memberships, and he was only fobbed off with the chairmanship of the Subcommittee on Sewers of the Committee on Sanitation. Even with this disappointment, he conducted his sworn duty with unusual zeal, filing bills for the better planning, management, and maintenance of sewers, conducting personal audits on service contractors and the sewers themselves, and organizing "people's committees" to help ensure cleanliness and maintenance of sewers and to prevent public dumping of garbage in waterways, resulting in his nickname, "Señor Ordenado".

He is convenor and public face of the New Santander Initiative.

Appointed President of the Santiago Development Corporation in 1700, promoted to Chairman on accession to national executive office.

Elected as an independent Deputy of the Federal Assembly and appointed Secretary of the Department of National Mobilisation. Enrolled into the national sector party cadre of the FHP by 1718 AN, in time to receive the nomination of the party to stand as its candidate for the premiership in the general election held in that year.

After the New Alexandrian general election, 1718, became President of the Government under the Federal Humanist Party.
