Signing of the Union of Utrecht

The Revolutionary Council (Revolutionaire Raad) was the provisional government of the Virtual United Provinces. It was formed on January 18, 2007 and drafted the "Union of Utrecht 2007". According to article 104 of the Union of Utrecht 2007, the council would remain in power to exercise both legislative and executive power until elections could be held.

The council's mandate ended on March 23, 2007 when the first Stadtholder took the oath of office.
